Gene was my very good friend
We where in the 101 St airborne together
Are love of music and the ability to laugh made us close
I had lost contact with him over the years
But I never forget that he was my friend

I served the Gene from 1975/1978 with A troop 2/17 cav 101 st Airborne I was a grunt he was with the como section we where privates together
Are fondness of all types of music made us good friends much beyond the race thing in the army of the 1970's
He was my friend and I'm sorry I lost contact with him over the years
I will miss you my friend Sgt Green
