On Tuesday, July 18, 2017 God called our beloved husband and brother,
ELMER LOUIS GOODS home. He was born on August 20, 1941 to
Royster and Virgie Goods in Baltimore, MD. He was the brother of fifteen
brothers and sisters.
He went to school in Baltimore, MD. Later he went to work at Grace Chemical
until he was drafted in the U.S. Army. After service he returned home and
met Joyce West. They became a happy couple until God called him home.
Elmer became a member of Old Landmark Baptist Church in the 800 block
of Broadway. He was ordained a deacon and served until his health failed.
Dr. George Matthew Cockrell was his pastor.
He loved listening to music, especially Sam Cooke. He worked in the church
helping his pastor, spoiling his grandchildren, and he loved to travel.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Joyce Goods; three sons,
