August 20, 1941 ~ July 18, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

On Tuesday, July 18, 2017 God called our beloved husband and brother,

ELMER LOUIS GOODS home. He was born on August 20, 1941 to

Royster and Virgie Goods in Baltimore, MD. He was the brother of fifteen

brothers and sisters.

He went to school in Baltimore, MD. Later he went to work at Grace Chemical

until he was drafted in the U.S. Army. After service he returned home and

met Joyce West. They became a happy couple until God called him home.

Elmer became a member of Old Landmark Baptist Church in the 800 block

of Broadway. He was ordained a deacon and served until his health failed.

Dr. George Matthew Cockrell was his pastor.

He loved listening to music, especially Sam Cooke. He worked in the church

helping his pastor, spoiling his grandchildren, and he loved to travel.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Joyce Goods; three sons,

Donald, Errol, Lamont Watson; six grandchildren, Jermaine, Errol, Tamika,

Tashonda, Kayla and Amanda; six great-grandchildren who was the love of

his life, Braelyn Diggs, Elijah Watson, Jermaine Jr., Kai and Alexander Watson;

three brothers, Willie (Elenora), James, Harold (Phyllis) Goods; two sisters-inlaw,

Sarah and Lou Ann; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews,

other family and friends
