Welcome to the memorial page for

Ebonee D. Baker

January 13, 1983 ~ November 1, 2016 (age 33) 33 Years Old

EBONEE DANELL SPENCE, daughter of Darryl D. Spence and Helen R. Morgan, was born on January 13, 1983 in Baltimore, Maryland. She transitioned this life to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2016.

Affectionately known as "EB", Ebonee was a "one of a kind" child. She accepted Christ at an early age, attending Joseph Freewill Baptist Church. She was educated in The Baltimore City Public Schools System. Ebonee graduated from Lake Clifton Eastern High School as the "Rugrats" Class  of 2001, where she received two superlative awards such as "Ghetto Is" and "Best Friends"  with Shareka Curbeam. Ebonee later joined Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Reginald Thomas Sr., whom she loved very much. In church, she became a member of the Young Adult Choir, and you better not tell her that she couldn't sing.

Growing up, Ebonee always expressed  that she wanted to be a "Bus Driver". In 2005, she was hired as a Fare Inspector for the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), with hopes of one day becoming an MTA Bus Operator. It was that year, as Fare Inspector, when she met, whom she knew, would later become her husband, Mr. Antwan Baker (She claimed it). Ebonee also picked up a second part-time job as a Shuttle Driver at BWI. It wasn't too long after, that she finally got her "Bus Driver" wish and began her training with MTA in May of 2006.

Ebonee was an overall beautiful person, who loved her family and friends. It didn't take her long to make her way around the work place. Along with being a Full-time Bus Operator, she worked as an "extra secretary" covering different assignments from week to week. She was known as "The Party Planner" for MTA's Eastern Division, always putting together some type of event, whether it be a Ski Trip or a Crab Feast, and we all know how Ebonee loved her crabs. She had a thing for Sunflower seeds too. One sure thing about Ebonee, she never held back information that another person could benefit from. If she knew how to get it, she'd tell you just who to go to or where to get it from. Ebonee was "The Plug".

On July 24, 2010, her dreams of being married to her soulmate and best friend came true. Becoming Mrs. Ebonee Baker was one of the happiest days of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Baker enjoyed traveling the world, planning family vacations and watching sports together. With Ebonee being a diehard Ravens fan, and Antwan, a Patriots fan, they had the funniest love/hate relationship during football season, especially when their teams played each other. She would give Ravens parties just about every Sunday and when the Ravens game went off, it was time to play other games, TABOO being one of her favorites. Ebonee was a dedicated mom, committing herself to all activities that her children were engaged in. She not only loved her children, but she loved everyone else's child(ren) as well. Ebonee started her own Track and Field Team (OTYME Track and Field Club), where they later advanced to The AAU Championship that was held in Houston, Texas. She was so excited to make it to the Championship that where they placed, whether first of last didn't matter. If she saw you, she'd yell, "You need to bring your son/daughter to sign up for track!" If you didn't she had a few nice words to say to you, when she saw you again. Ebonee meant so much to everyone in her own way. She was a great mother, sister, aunt, niece, friend, team mom, coach, listener and smack talker. Ebonee will truly be missed.

She leaves to mourn: The love of her life; her husband, Antwan Baker; two daughters, Taylah and Taliah Armstrong; two sons, Tywan and Tristan Baker; three stepsons, Marquise Wright, Antwan (Jay) and Kobe Baker; mother, Helen Morgan; father, Darryl Spence; mother-in-law, Brenda Baker; father-in-law, Lamont Baker Sr. (Debra Baker); three brothers, Raymond Wright, Darryl Spence Jr., and Kelvin Dorsey; three sisters, Kesha Gray (Darrell Gray), Ambra Lazarides and Erika Baxter; two brother-in-laws, Lamont Baker Jr., and Cortez Baker; one sister in law, Tieeast Hawkins; her very best friend, Shareka Curbeam; and a host of other relatives and special friends.
