DARNETTE MCMILLON, born to the late Catherine Avery and Buddy McMillon in Baltimore, MD. Darnette received her education from the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Paul L. Dunbar High School.
Darnette was best known for her outspoken personality (she was not afraid to let you know how she felt). Darnette being the cornerstone of her family was loved by her family and friends. She was employed with University of MD Baltimore City College for almost 21 years. She was loved by both her coworkers and students. She was a mother figure on her job and was best known as Grandma Dynamite.
Everyone looked up to her. Darnette was known as a Chef and the best cook in the family. She was loving and caring with a very big heart. She loved to sing, and was a hard working woman.
Darnette was preceded in death by 10 siblings and a grandson, Lawrence Roebuck.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three children: Lakesha Scott (Carroll Wright), Danielle Stewart and Leon Wilson (Jada Wilson); nine grandchildren, Willie Byrd, Jr., Amirah Byrd, Dayonte McIntosh, Abrielle Wilson, Dominic Cloud, Dallas Eggleston, Amaziah Wilson, Dwayne Johnson, and Jaden Johnson; one great grand, Davanta Roebuck; one sister, Sarah McMillon, two brothers, Anthony McMillon and Alfred Avery; two best friends, Lavina McNeal and Catherine Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
